South African

South Africa is the only nation in the world with three capital cities: Cape Town, the largest of the three, is the legislative capital; Pretoria is the administrative capital; and Bloemfontein is the judicial capital.

South Africa contains more than 20,000 different plants, or about 10% of all the known species of plants on Earth. The majority of the plants are evergreen hard-leaf plants with fine, needle-like leaves. A uniquely South African plant is the protea genus of flowering plants. Proteas were named after the Greek god Proteus, who could change his form at will, because the flowers have so many different forms.
