Many of Western civilization’s most important elements originated in ancient Greece, including democracy, philosophy, epic literature, political science, the Olympic Games, and theatrical drama (both tragedy and comedy).

Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece. Its tallest peak, Mitikas, stands at 9,576 feet. In the Greek mythology, Mount Olympus was symbolically the home of the Twelve Olympians, the principal gods in the Greek pantheon. The Greeks thought of it as built with crystal mansions wherein the gods, such as Zeus, dwelt.
