The Neuquen province in Argentina is one of the world’s most important sites for paleontology. More than 1,000 specimens, including 240 fossil plants, 300 teeth and the remains of several dinosaurs have been found there. The most recent find was a 105-foot previously unknown plant-eating dinosaur that has been named Futalognkosaurus dukei.
Jorge Luis Borges, one of the most acclaimed writers of the 20th century, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His first book, a collection of poetry, was titled Fervor de Buenos Aires, or Passion for Buenos Aires.
